A free workshop examining ways in which local authorities can achieve greater savings
Discover more successful ways to reduce spend…
Introduction:
Public sector ICT spend is one of the first areas of the new coalition government spending cuts. As ICT accounts for over £213 million spend across the South East region. (ATOS Spend Analysis 2009-2010) and with many large ICT projects already scrapped, it is inevitable that local authorities will need to reconsider their ICT spend.
However there are growing fears that cuts in ICT spend will have an adverse effect on maintaining a high quality of service. Yet procuring ICT effectively could help local authorities achieve significant savings without reducing the quality of service being provided.
Purpose:
The purpose of this workshop is to provide local authority officers with a unique opportunity to focus solely on taking real and practical action to deliver effective savings on ICT spend whilst maintaining an efficient service.
