Partnership for Urban South Hampshire (PUSH) – MAA development
The work that Partnership for Urban South Hampshire (PUSH) is undertaking is breaking new ground in the south east and is being watched by existing and emerging sub-regional economic partnerships across the country (and abroad) and within central government.
The PUSH partners delivering the MAA cover a population of approximately 1 million people and 11 local authorities
What did we set out to achieve?
- Provide leadership that enables greater local prosperity and environmental sustainability
- Build capacity to realise our goals by working collaboratively to tackle and resolve issues
- Turn innovation into the norm rather than an additional activity, driving efficient and effective service delivery mechanism
- Facilitate instinctive collaboration, unrestricted by geography, history or service area
What have we achieved so far?
- Secured funding via IESE to support development of the MAA, and now to support the refresh of the MAA
- Begun work on a refresh of MAA – which was first developed and formally signed in 2008
How can your council benefit?
The PUSH authorities are already involved and the MAA refresh process will be made available towards the end of the project.
