Corporate Transformation

The corporate transformation programme can enable your council to make significant cashable savings and resource efficiencies. It can also provide training to ensure improved business case methodology increasing likelihood of return on investment.
What did we set out to achieve?
- Redesign organisations in three-five years to improve services to ensure better value at a lower cost
- Facilitate community engagement enabling councils to respond to community choice and deliver an improved customer service
- Enable councils to make cashable savings through cluster-working, shared knowledge and shared resource
What have we achieved so far?
- A ground-breaking joint management structure between Adur and Worthing saving £1million in year one.
- A joint management structure between South Oxford and Vale of White Horse saving £300k so far
- Over 75 officers trained in business case methodology, who can now train their colleagues
How can your council get involved?
In years two and three, we plan to deliver at least two examples of collaboration which can be replicated and demonstrate efficiency savings in excess of 10% by year three. In addition, we will create 10 more clusters of authorities working together to generate efficiencies and potentially share services.

Projects
Adur and Worthing PartnershipThrough supporting this project IESE will enable other Local Authorities to take the merged management structure model and implement it learning from the innovators; Adur & Worthing. This highlights opportunities for two authorities or more to work in partnership to deliver services in order to make significant cashable savings and improvements. Councils involved benefit from a shared services review and business case creation, as well as ongoing support and funding to produce shared management structures. |
