The regional construction framework

The framework can help your local authority to make savings when procuring large construction projects and can help to improve project governance.

How can your council benefit?

Any public sector organisation in the south east can access the regional construction framework. It is flexible enough to deliver any large building project over £1 million in value, or an aggregated programme of smaller building works from an early point in the project.

What did we set out to achieve?

The framework was set up to offer measurable benefits to council, including:

• Faster and more cost efficient project procurement
• Improved cost and time reliability
• Improved value with structured cost-benchmarking
• Monitoring of contractor and client performance
• Better-value fixtures and equipment through an aggregated purchase scheme

What have we achieved so far?

• Generated £13million in efficiency savings
• A programme of work has been established across secondary schools
• Further programmes developing around primary schools, civic offices, and police work
• Over 30 authorities actively engaged with the framework, on a discretionary basis
