Date: Wednesday 09/12/09
Supporting you to expand your schemes or to introduce a completely new scheme
Shared Lives is an underused and undervalued service that offers care long-term accommodation and support, daytime care, kinship and respite care for all user groups, along with step-down and step-up care for people with mental health needs or rehabilitation needs. A highly cost- effective, personalised and high quality service which is currently under-utilised.
As well as excellent outcomes for service users cost savings of up to 60% on residential services can be made.
These Master Classes will complement and provide hands-on support to local teams to expand their shared lives provision. Shared Lives supports the PPF agenda, personalisation, provides excellent outcomes for service users and contributes to at least 32 National Performance Indicators.
